Analytical method has been developed for estimation of acetamiprid in cotton, rice and chili. Accelerated solvent extractor (ASE) technique used for extraction of acetamiprid from the matrices resulted in lower consumption of extraction solvent (28 mL versus 150 mL in traditional method). The total time required for extraction per sample was only 18 min as compared to one hour required in traditional method for completing three cycles of extraction. The final extract was a clear solution and hence no filtration was required. The average recovery of acetamiprid was found to be 87.3, 94.3, 88.8, 99.6, 88.0 and 102.6% for chili, rice, rice straw, cotton lint, cotton seed and soil, respectively.
