An experiment was conducted at the Research Farm, Department of Agronomy, PAU, Ludhiana, during the rabi season of 2006–07 and 2007–08 to evaluate at harvest time residues of bispyribac in rice (Oryza sativa L). Different dose of bispyribac at 25, 60 g ha−1 in flat puddle rice and bispyribac at 30.5 g ha−1 in bed transplanted rice were applied as post emergence (20–25 days). Samples of soil, rice grain and straw were analysed for herbicides residue by HPLC. Upon analysis of samples of bispyribac, residues were detected in soil and rice grains and straw at harvest below detectable limit (> 0.01 ppm).
