Abstract

The effect of seven insecticides from different groups viz. dimethoate, acetamiprid, flufenoxuron, fuzalon+teflubenzuron, thiomethoxam, pyriproxyfen and oil on Asian citrus psyllid was studied. Results showed, all tested insecticides had good effect on the pest during the first seven days of spraying. But by the time, gradually the effect of contact insecticides decreased as such their effect compared to systemic insecticides became significant. In this study thiomethoxam, dimethoate and acetamiprid showed maximum percent of mortality (97.7, 83.2 and 82.7%, respectively). The least percent of mortality obtained by using the oil, 21 d after treatment (18.7%).
