Abstract

The dissipation of spiromesifen 240 SC @ 96 g a.i. ha−1 and propargite 57 EC @ 570 g a.i. ha−1 were studied on chilli for estimation of its half life (T1/2) on fruits. The samples of chilli fruits were drawn at 0, 1, 3, 5, 7, 15, 20 d after spraying. Quantification of spiromesifen residues was done on Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) and propargite was done on High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). The residues of spiromesifen and propargite persisted up to five d. From the dissipation data, the half life (T1/2) values of spiromesifen and propargite were 2.62, and 0.63 d respekctively.
