By and large plant fungi are controlled by applying synthetic chemicals which often have several harmful impacts on environment and health. As a result, finding an alternative bio-safe and eco-friendly control measure is a prerequisite to replace unsafe synthetic ones. Considering the need, the present investigation was carried out to develop a plant based biosafe fungicide using volatile oils (VOs) of Cymbopogon citrates, Eucalyptus globules, Gaultheria procumbens and Syzygium aromaticum against eleven plant fungal pathogens. In the study, all four oils were found to have excellent antifungal potency.
