A multiresidue method was developed for the analysis of organochlorine pesticides from high fat milk. Milk samples were analyzed with QuEChERS approach with suitable dispersive cleanup. Quantitative analysis was performed on GC-ECD. The method was validated in accordance with Commission Decision 2009/3130/EC and is capable of analyzing 18 out of 20 organochlorine compounds. For validating the method, accuracy, precision, specificity, ruggedness, matrix match linearity, LOD, LOQ and measurement of uncertainty of method was determined. For accuracy, milk samples were fortified at three levels and per cent recovery was calculated. The reporting level were determined by matrix match calibration and considering the nature of analyte and matrix, 0.01 μg ml−1 were fixed for analysis. The % recovery and % RSD were in the acceptable range prescribed for the method validation. The LOD and LOQ values were well below the reporting level. Specificity and ruggedness of the method was also established.
