Abstract

LC50 and LC90 values of emamectin 5 WG to third instar of Spodoptera litura (Lepidoptera:Noctuidae) through okra leaf dip method were estimated as 0.0060 and 0.0290%, 0.0029 and 0.0157% and 0.0008 and 0.0109% at 12, 24 and 48 h, respectively. LT50 and LT90 values of emamectin 5 WG, emamectin 5 SG and lambda cyhalothrin 5 CS to the third instar of S. litura were estimated as 6.35 and 19.13 h, 7.03 and 22.34 h and 10.79 and 41.42 h, respectively for the concentration of 0.025, 0.03 and 0.06%. Toxicity to the third instar of H. armigera through okra fruit dip method was in the order of emamectin 5 WG > emamectin 5 SG > lambda cyhalothrin 5 CS. LC50 and LC90 values of emamectin 5 WG and emamectin 5 SG were 2.71 (0.0139%) and 1.86 (0.0202%), 3.48 (0.0072%) and 1.90 (0.0132%) and 4.87 (0.0024%) and 2.43 (0.0048%) folds more than lambda cyhalothrin after 12, 24 and 48 h, respectively. LT50 and LT90 values were 9.15 and 25.69 h, 9.21 and 28.85 h and 12.43 and 49.51 h for emamectin 5 WG at 0.025%, emamectin 5 SG at 0.03% and lambdacyhalothrin 5 CS at 0.06%, respectively.
