A simple fast and inexpensive analytical method was developed and validated in tea (green tea leaves, made tea and tea infusion) and soil using LC-MS/MS. It comprised of extraction with dichloromethane using conventional liquid-liquid partition method (for tea matrix) and ethyl acetate using matrix solid phase dispersion method (for soil matrix) followed by cartridge SPE and d-SPE cleanup and quantified by LC-MS/MS using gradient elution. The method was established at the concentrations of 0.01, 0.05, 0.1 μg g−1. The recovery of dinotefuran in tea (all substrates) and soil matrices ranged from 82 to 95% at three different levels of fortification with RSD (Hor Rat< 0.4) of 9–15%. The method validation and uncertainty calculation was done at the concentration of 0.01 μg g−1.
