Scope of agrochemicals has expanded with time. Some of the newer dimensions for research on diverse aspects of agricultural chemicals have been identified and are presented. General suggestions to improve the quality of research output have also been made. It is hoped that the suggestions will promote a healthy debate and trigger innovative research aimed at holistic improvement in crop, environment and mammalian health.
