The effect of carbosulfan 25%EC (FMC-PY) against aphids (Myzus persicae and Aphis gossypii) of chilli cv. Bullet (susceptible local cultivar) is reported. Nine treatments comprising carbosulfan 25%EC (FMC-PY) @ 100, 200, 250 and 300g a.i. ha−1, carbosulfan 25% EC (Marshal) @ 200 and 250g a.i. ha−1, imidacloprid 17.8% SL @50g a.i. ha−1 and fipronil 5% SC @ 50g a.i. ha−1 replicated thrice, revealed that carbosulfan 25% EC (FMC-PY) @ 200 to 300g a.i. ha−1 was significantly superior over imidacloprid 17.8% SL @ 50g a.i. ha−1 and fipronil 5% SC @ 50g a.i. ha−1 to inhibit aphid infestation along with simultaneous increase in yield of chilli. Carbosulfan 25EC (FMC-PY) showed no significant detrimental effect on population of coccinellid and chrysopid (Chrysoperla) predators and Braconid parasitoids of aphids in chilli crop.
