Neem pesticides came into prominence during 1990s when several companies started commercially producing the azadirachtin technical concentrates and the formulations based on them. With an ever increasing emphasis on organic agriculture and integrated pest management, neem pesticides have become a key input in various pest management strategies. Besides, the on farm products have also found extensive use by the farming community. This overview presents significant advances in neem research and development, and attempts to highlight the future prospects of neem pesticides.
