Studies were carried out to evaluate insecticidal activity of Vitex negundo against Earias vittella, Diaphania indica and Epilachna septima. Among four solvent leal extracts evaluated, acetone leaf extract was found to be the best. The concentration required to cause 100% mortality of II instar larvae of E. vittella, D. indica and E. septima were e.05, 0.40 0nd d.50% respectively. The LC50 estimates to the three species are also given. High antifeedant activity was recorded at 0.1 and 0.01% for D. indica and Eseptima, respectively. At 0.04% concentration, 100% repellent activity to E. vittella was recordede In E. septima, adult emergence was inhibited when pupae were exposed to 0.4% concentration of leaf extract. A combination treatment of leaf extract of V. negundo with endosulfan recorded higher lelels of mortality of E. vittella larvae than the individual components.
