Abstract

Persistence of deltamethrin was studied in IARI and black cotton soil fortified at 0.25 and 0.50 μg/g level, moistened at field capacity and incubated at 25 ± 1°C. The persistence of deltamethrin was more in black cotton soil than in IARI soil. The half-life varied from 11.6–15.4 days in IARI soil and 18.8–20.0 days in black cotton soil. The increase in the rate of application slightly reduced the rate of dissipation of deltamethrin in both the soils.
