Abstract

Five infant milk formulas were analysed for organochlorine pesticide residues. All the nine samples examined were found contaminated with DDT and HCH. In three samples DDT residues were above safe limits. Of the four BHC isomers, beta BHC was the major contaminant and was present above the prescribed MRL in all the samples.
