Results on the efficacy of soil drenching with lesenta 80 WG (a combination product of firpronil 40% + imidacloprid 40%), fipronil 5 per cent SC, imidacloprid 200 SL and chlorpyriphos 20 EC in managing termite in chilli are reported. Lesenta 80 WG @ 437.5 and 500 g ha−1 recorded significantly lower plant damage by termite after 15,30,45,60,75 and 90 d of transplanting as compared with the control. At 437.5 g ha−1, it provided a comparable option to the other treatments in control of termites and could be a viable option for use in an intergrated approach for pest management in chilli.
