Abstract

Two steps modified QuEChERS sample preparation method applicability was evaluated for pesticides quantification in chilli oleoresin. Seventeen representative pesticides in each class including planar pesticides were chosen for this study. The optimized method was validated in accordance with SANTE guidelines. Optimized sample preparation involved extraction of target analytes from 0.5 g homogenized sample by acetonitrilewater and dispersive cleanup. The residues were estimated using gas chromatography tandem mass spectrometer [GC-MS/MS] by electron impact ionization and MRM mode. The recoveries by the optimized method varied between 70-120% and precision 8.1-18.1%.
