In this study, laboratory toxicity and field efficacy experiments were conducted with the five ad hoc recommended insecticides during two consecutive crops growing seasons kharif, 2019 and 2020. The results of the experiments revealed that, the combination product lambda-cyhalothrin (9.3%) + chlorantraniliprole (4.6%) ZC and spinetoram 11.7% SC were significantly superior in both laboratory and field studies as compared to other insecticides tested. The study suggests that, whorl foliar application of combi-product lamda-cyhalothrin + chlorantraniliprole and spinetoram may be recommended for the management of FAW in maize.
