Abstract

Cypermethrin has been evaluated as a grain protectant for greengram (Vigna radiata Wilczek) during stroage. When aplied at two dosaged of 3 and 5 mg/kg, 59 to 60 per cent of cypermethrin persisted after six moths of the treatments. Washing followed by steaming/cooking process dislodged the residues to the extent of 72 per cent from the treated grains. These treatments did not cause any reduction in quality, viability and germination.
