Persistence of bitertanol fungicide was studied at 0.6 and 1.2 kg a.i./ha on apple at two locations. The residues of the fungicide could be detected upto 30 days and it dissipated with half life of 4–11.5 days on fruits and 4.6–6.7 days on leaves. On the basis of these data, a waiting period of 30 days and an MRL of 0.2 mg/kg for bitertanol on apple is suggested.
