Eight metal dithiocarbamates were synthesised and screened for their fungitoxicity against two phytopathogenic fungi Alternaria alternata and Fusarirum oxysporum using spore germination inhibition technique. Among these, dithiocarbamates of manganese, iron and sodium were found to be more effective than the standard fungicide dithane M-45 against A. alternata.
