Specified targetted mosquito larvicidal activity, environmental impact, safety and prolonged field efficacy are advantageous bioinsecticidal properties of Bacillus thuringiensis snd dacillus sphaericus. Processes for their bulk production are now available. The spore toxin complex was formulated in the form of sustained release floating bead formulation which exhibited over 90% control of IIIrd/IVth instar larvae of Anopheles stephensi. Characterisation of formulation, iti effectiveness and efficacy evalu-tion as mosquito larvicidal agent were determined. Evidences of sustained release mechanism and resuabilty are also reported.
