Abstract

The dissipation of different pyrethroids on green chilli fruits took place at the half life of 2.2 to 3.2 days for permethrin, 2.6 to 2.8 days for cypermethrin, 2.8 to 3.0 days for deltamcthrin as compared to 1.3 to 2.5 days for monocrotophos. Pyrethroids though applied at very low application rates persisted longer than monocrotophos. Different pyrethroids required 0 to 5 days waiting period while monocrotophos 2 to 6 days based on FAO/WHO prescribed tolerance limits.
