Abstract

Under fields condition after foliar application of EC formulation of endosulfan @ 0.07 and 0.14, the dissipation in cowpea crop was studied. The endosulfan residues persisted in foliage and pods upto 15 days. The initial deposit of 8.63 and 16.73 mg/kg in foliage at first and second dose of spraying declined to 0.097 and 0.289 mg/kg, respectively, after 15 days. In case of pods the initial deposits were 5.96 and 10.04 mg/kg at lower and higher doses of spraying and reduced to 0.061 and 0.192 mg/kg after 15 days. The residues reached below the MRL values of 2 mg/kg after 10 days of treatment in foliage and pods. The half life values were same in both doses.
