Abstract

Nine oxazolones were prepared and screened for their fungicidal activity against Uslilago tritici, Alter-naria tenuis, Colletotrichum capsici, Sphaoceloma maydis and Puccinia recondita. All the compounds have shown promising antifungal activity against the test fungi. It has been observed that the presence of alkoxy group in the phenyl nucleus increases the activity of the parent compound.
