Dissipation pattern of monocrotophos and quinalphos in/on ber (Zizyphus jujuba Lamk.) fruits was studied during 1993- 94. Each insecticide was sprayed thrice at one month interval @ 0.05% and 0.1% separately on Umran variety. Average residue of monocrotophos in 0 d old samples from lower dose was found to be 0.415 ppm which got reduced to 0.040 ppm in 7 d showing 90% dissipation. At higher dose, the average residue was 0.928 ppm at 0 d which reached to 0.060 ppm in 7 d showing 93% dissipation. In case of quinalphos, 0 d ber samples contained 0.848 ppm residues at lower dose and 3.306 ppm at higher dose. In seven d, dissipation of quinalphos was observed to be 94% in lower dose and 97% in higher dose. A waiting period of 3 d for monocrotophos and 7 d for quinalphos has been suggested.
