Abstract

The efficacy of organic amendments (groundnut, karanj, mahua, mustard and neem oil-seed cakes) and inorganic amendment, attapulgite based clay dust (ABCD) with a ssandard nematicide (carbofuran) on root-knot development and growth characters of cowpea plants was studied. Reduction in root knot development caused by Meloidogyne incognita population was significantly high in case of mustard, neem, carbofuran and ABCD, least being in groundnut. The plant growth characters were greatly improved in mustard and neem amended soil followed by karanj, mahua and ABCD.
