Abstract

Eighty eight farmgate samples of brinjal from Jaipur and nearby villages showed the residues of monocrotophos, dimethoate, phosphamidon, malathion, quinalphos, fenvalerate, carbofuran, endosulfan and BHC. In 37 samples the residues of various pesticides were within MRL (Maximum Residue Limit). Only 13 samples showed insecticide residues above the MRL.
