A gas liquid chromatographic/flame ionization detector (GLC - FID) technique is described for quantitation of release of carbofuran from different granular formulations. The method demonstrated a linear calibration range between 100-1000ppm carbofuran concentration. About 95% recovery was obtained employing dichloromethane as an extractant.
