Tourism is a way to explore destinations and cultures. Host community feels proud to welcome guest when they are involved directly or indirectly and reap benefits from these activities. Responsible behaviour of host community at destination serves as a corner stone in growth and development of a destination as a preferred tourist destination. Increase in tourist inflow at a preferred tourist destination boosts infrastructural developments like transport, health facilities, communication services etc. The behaviour of the host community is important for flourishing tourism and tourism-related activities in an area. This results in increased economic activities and growth of the destination. The present study is an empirical study. The survey method was employed for collecting data. The analysis of data reveals that there is a lot of scope to educate host community regarding responsible tourism practices to protect their environment, social culture and benefiting more by tourist activities in the destination and increase their involvement to attain the aim of responsible tourism.
