A tourist destination becomes well known for tourism with the efforts of local people and government by implementing appropriate planning, strategy and expenditure to give a shape of tourism industry. Seasonality in tourism has both negative and positive impacts on destination. But with the help of sustainable development, we can minimise the negative impact of tourism in the area. Now, the seasonality becomes the part of tourism which has the impact on tourist destination. Ramnagar, a town situated in Kumaun region of Uttarakhand state in India, also faces the seasonal variations in tourism. The Corbett National Park is the main attraction for wild-animal lovers which receives maximum tourists during the peak season of tourism in the area. A seasonal variation of tourism in Ramnagar affects stakeholders, local people as well as tourists. The survey research method was applied to the current study. The study tends to know the impact of seasonality and the problem faces during the peak season of tourism in the area. The present study would recommend us some alternatives for reducing seasonality factors for sustainable development in Ramnagar town. The current study may be useful for future study related to seasonality in tourism and sustainable development in Ramnagar town and could be a milestone for planning process and policy decision maker in tourism development.
