ORCiD: An Introduction

To address the questions of author's disambiguation by providing digital identifiers to researchers and to link research outputs through identifiers, the ORCiD is the unique identity one can have, a research portfolio which travels with the researchers wherever they go. Both Thomson Reuters (Web of Science-Researcher ID) and Elsevier (Scopus Author Profile) are associated with ORCiD and have enabled transfer of data from their own research identity tools to ORCiD (Abertawe).
