In India marriage is considered a lifelong partnership. It is the foundation stone on which the family is built. Basically marriage is a social and legal interact. Adolescence is the period from late childhood to independent adulthood which itself means: To grow to maturity. Growing to maturity includes physical growth, attainment of a mature structure and the maturation of physical and mental characteristics and development of secondary sexual characteristics. There are undoubtedly many factors contributing to adolescents attitude towards marriage, relationship optimism and relationship skill acquisition. In marriage traditional attitudes and personal expectations play a very important role. But this vitality of marriage has now been drastically transformed in the modern times, today the young generation of India perceives this old established social institution with new and transformed vision. Changing cultural and social values surely play a role in the attitudinal change towards marriage. The youth rather trying to embrace the companionship of a husband and wife on the foundation of empathy, trust and mutual consents.
