The vigilant quality assessment parameters recognize the existence of powerful internal dynamics within a learning organisation. Total Quality Management (TQM) assures the existence of such a dynamic entity within this system. The paper here addresses the issue of how to integrate the fundamental norms of TQM philosophy into a higher education institution in the context of NAAC Reaccreditation. The enterprise of ushering quality in an institution does not depend on the top-level management. The participative philosophy of TQM enables one to identify all the relevant stakeholders, generate and pool ideas of improvement from all sections, adopt continuous change as per contextualised institutional requirements, and integrate attitudes with reforms.
