Abstract

The present study aspired to investigate whether Organizational Climate is a significant predictor of Quality of Work Life in Bank Probationary Officers from Public and Private Sector Banks. It was hypothesized that Organizational Climate will be a significant predictor of Quality of Work Life in Bank Probationary Officers from Public and Private Sector Banks. A purposive sample of 400 Bank Probationary Officers 200 each from Public Sector Banks and Private Sector Banks from Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan was selected. The Predictor Variable was measured by Organizational Climate Inventory (Furnham, A. and Goodstein, L.D. 1997) whereas the Criterion/Outcome variable was measured by Quality of Work Life Scale (Madnawat, AVS and Sanger, M. 2010). The Correlational Research Design along with Regression Model was employed. The Multiple Regression Analysis was computed to investigate whether Organizational Climate is a significant predictor of Quality of Work Life in Bank Probationary Officers from Public and Private Sector Banks. It was empirically proved that Organizational Climate Dimensions Role of Clarity, Planning and Decision-making, Innovation, Relationship and Quality of Work Life were significant positive predictors; whereas Organizational Climate Dimensions Teamwork & Support, Commitment & Morale and Training & Learning were significant negative predictors of Quality of Work Life in Bank Probationary Officers from Public and Private Sector Banks. The results are interpreted in the light of existing researches.
