Abstract

The main aim of this study is to examine episodic memory and working memory in a sample of individuals diagnosed with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI). Both cognitive domains were assessed using the Digit Span, Spatial Span and Logical Memory subtests from the Wechsler Memory Scale-III(WMS-III). These aspects were examined in 15 MCI patients and 15 matched controls. It was hypothesized that MCI participants would be more impaired relative to the control group on these different measures. Findings showed that MCI participants performance was impaired in comparison to the control group.
