Abstract

In this research the component of ‘video games ’was taken into consideration. Experimental research has shown that playing violent video games produces higher levels of aggressive cognition, aggressive affect, physiological arousal, and aggressive behavior. The research was done to examine the association between gaming and aggressive behavior. The current study was carried out on a sample of adolescents from Mumbai, who completed the demographic sheet, The Video Game Questionnaire (Anderson & Dill (2000) and The Aggression Scale (AS; Orpinas & Frankowski, 2001). Empirical data was analyzed with suitable statistical methods. The paper discusses the research findings using the existing literature and highlights the practical implications of the study.
