Abstract

Academics and examinations occupy central position in an individual's life. Parental pressure exerted over academics is prominent in Asian countries, especially India. Several studies have identified the link between parental pressure and test anxiety. These are potential threats to students ’wellbeing. The article presents a conceptual understanding of parental pressure and test anxiety. Their consequences, relevance to India and possible solutions are discussed.
