Job Satisfaction among the Employees of Social Development Sector: A Psycho-social Perspective

Abstract

The present study was conducted to examine gender difference in job satisfaction among the employees of social development sector and also to assess the relation of happiness, interpersonal relationship and coping style with job satisfaction. The sample size was 50 (male-25, female-25). Job satisfaction scale, interpersonal relationship inventory, Oxford happiness inventory and coping checklist II were administered. Significant difference in job satisfaction between the two groups was not found. Furthermore, job satisfaction was not found to be significantly correlated with selected psychosocial variables. The results of the present study can be fruitful for further research studies.
