The present study was planned to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and role efficacy. The sample consist 120 police personnel (constable and head constable) of Haryana police from various districts of Haryana. Further, the association of emotional intelligence with Role efficacy of these police personnel was analyzed with the help of product movement correlation and stepwise regression. ‘Emotional intelligence scale ’(Bhattacharya, Dutta & Mandal, 2004)was administered on the selected sample to assess emotional intelligence and ‘Role efficacy scale’(UdaiPareek, 2002)was used for measuring various components of Role efficacy of the present sample. The results showed that Emotional Intelligence has a significant positive correlation with Role efficacy. Stepwise regression analysis revealed two predictors of Emotional Intelligence i.e. integration and helping relationship jointly account for.87% of variance in emotional intelligence.
