Abstract

At present girls are equally able as compared to boys for any job and business. The most important thing is which type of job or business, they will prefer. Many times their work preferences depend on their personality type and interpersonal need. Sample for the present study consisted of M.A./M. Sc. final year students (Academic background) and engineering and MBA find year students (Technical background). The present study tested the difference between work preference based on personality type and interpersonal needs. Data were collected from two samples: (a) 50 technical unmarried female students and unmarried) and (b) 50 academic unmarried female students. Statistical analysis revealed no significant difference between students of academic and technical background regarding personality type, interpersonal needs and work preference.
