IoT (Internet of things) has created a magic in world of computerization. It has proved to be potential technologies which fulfill the need automation in each filed. That is the reason why it has grabbed the consideration of the scientist and developers. There are many applications areas of IoT like Agriculture, Smart Cities development, automobile sector, Home Security, Women safety appliances etc. But know the major lacuna of the IoT system are the security, as IoT deals with sensitive data so this factor need to be focused for avoiding the misuse of the system. This paper discusses the applications of the IoT and areas were the security aspects need to be focused. And the counterstrikes suggested for the security attacks.
