Abstract

The growth in the population size and population composition largely impacts the Indian demography in the globe which also accounts the improvement and the development of the population growth with special reference to the tribal belts in India as well as Odisha state. Demography studies conducted in Odisha and in Indian context also suggests very scanty evidence-based on the patterns of population composition and population growth which is gaining an unprecedented transition in family forms in India. The present demography paper conceptualizes and gives a comprehensive idea on population growth in tribal belts of Odisha state. Data pertaining demographic perspective, population composition, sex ratio and of population growth were collected from the district registration office and district statistical center of Mayurbhanj district. Collected data analysis highlights the positive sex ratio in the tribal outskirts but phenomenal changes seen in the population growth and the literacy rate in the studied area. The unparalleled increase in population growth and its composition is a matter of sensitive attention in the studied area. Which can be checked by improving the literacy rate as the literacy rate in the studied area is another matter of concern for the relevant policy implementation is needed at the ground level.
