This study aims at mapping the proportion of aged 60 years and above and ageing index in the Areas of Tribal Dominance of North Eastern region of India so as get an insight into the magnitude of population ageing as well as rural and urban variation in the region by a spatialtemporal analysis for the period of three decades from 1971 onwards.
