Formulation and Estimation of Rheological Parameters of Topical Gels of Ketoprofen

Topical gels of Ketoprofen were prepared by using varying concentrations of Sodium CMC. The viscosity of prepared gels was estimated using a Brookfield viscometer having T-bar spindles and a helipath attachment. The data obtained were plotted graphically to determine whether the systems is Newtonian or Non-Newtonian, the type of Non-Newtonian flow, time dependent or independent and thixotropic or rheopexic nature of gels.
