Heart Disease (IHD) may be symptomic or asymptomatic. Later may be revealed only when the effect of chronic myocardial ischemia manifest as Congestive Cardiac Failure (CCF) or Arrhythmias. In some cases, IHD may remain completely asymptomatic, to be detected only on Electro Cardio Gram (ECG).
One hundred cases who were admitted in a tertiary care hospital irrespective of age and sex were taken as sample. Statistical analysis: expressed in simple terms of proportion and ratio.
In most of the cases, patients presented with multiple symptoms except 03 patients (02 male and 01 female) who came to hospital without symptoms, 18 patients (15 male and one female only with chest pain and two females with only breathlessness) were admitted only with one symptom and four patients (one female and three males)who presented with all five symptoms i.e. Chest pain, Breathlessness, Perspiration, Ghabrahat and Others (chakkar, Vomiting, headache, abdominal pain, palpitation).
While chest pain is the most frequent symptom of heart attack in both men and women, a sizable minority of patients of heart attacks may come without having chest pain.
