Due to technical developments, the function of lung may also be assessed simply and logically and with a reasonable prospect that the results from different laboratories will both agree and interpreted similarly.
To know the ventilator status of the subjects as a whole in reference to different body surface areas.
Body surface area was calculated by taking into the account of height and weight of the sampled individuals. A total of one hundred eighty five subjects of both sexes were included in the study.
Eleven variables were taken into consideration for the study purpose.
FEV.5/FVC% and FEV1/FVC% showed decline in their values with increasing body surface area in males in contrast to their female counterparts.
Most parameters except FEV.5/FVC% and FEV1/FVC% showed rise in their values with increasing Body Surface Area.
