Abstract

Ongoing studies have suggested that there is enormous macrofungal diversity in West Bengal due to its unique geo-climatic setting. The present paper reports five macrofungi viz. Cortinarius iodes, Xerula radicata, Phylloporus bellus, Crepidotus mollis and Macrocybe gigantea collected from different geographical regions of West Bengal, India and are reported herein with detailed macro-morphological characters.
