Abstract

Silver nanoparticle shows modern optical properties, which is observed neither in a molecule nor bulk metals.

In the present study silver nanoparticles, AgNPs were produced by physics method using YAG system (Q-switched Nd-YAG laser system type HUAFEI) of a silver nitrate aqueous solution (AgNO3). The AgNPs were characterized using UV-VIS spectrometer and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM).

The peak in the absorption spectra of asilver solutionwas showed an absorption max of 450 nm, which is indicated AgNPs formation. The AgNPs obtained using a laser used for the antibacterial such as S. aureus and K.pneumonia collected from Najaf city, Iraq.

The advantages of using YAG laser in the synthesis of silver nanoparticles are environmentally friendly.
