Abstract

This chapter presents an overview of silver nanoparticles preparation by physical, chemical, and green synthesis approaches. The aim of this chapter is, therefore, to reflect on the current state and future prospects, especially the potentials and limitations of the above mentioned techniques for industries. Moreover, we discuss the applications of silver nanoparticles and their incorporation into other materials to cure various chronic diseases. The development of reliable, reproducible and eco-friendly techniques for synthesis of silver nanoparticles is a crutialstep in the area of nanotechnology. The formulators shown dynamic interest and attention on this because of its unique, specicic properties and applications in various fields such as medicine, catalysis and water treatment. This review is highlighting the advantages and benefits of green synthesis of silver nanoparticles over the other available treatments by using various plant extracts. Applications of Silver nano particles for specific cancer disease treatment as well as in other diseases. Green synthesis of silver nanoparticles with controlled release, drug targeting, as well as significantly increase the bioavailability of drugs, which greatly overcome the weaknesses of traditional drug delivery.
