Large numbers of drugs are available in the market in form of dry syrup, where reconstitution has to be done by patient. Ornidazole is an antibiotic used to treat some protozoan infections. It has also been investigated for use in Crohn's disease after bowel resection. In the present investigation the drug Ornidazole was selected for the design of oral reconstitutable suspension for improving its stability and palatability by using various techniques like physical mixing, solvent evaporation and co-grinding method with different suspending agents like Xanthan gum, SCMC, Guar gum and sodium alginate.
